Restoring normalcy for teens affected by the LA Fires

Hi, I’m Maddie Jensen, founder of My Big Sister’s Closet, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and young women through curated clothing, self-care products, and uplifting experiences. Our mission is to provide hope and joy to those navigating challenging circumstances, like teens and young women displaced by the recent LA fires.

To take our impact to the next level, we’re raising funds to purchase and restore a single-axle trailer, transforming it into a mobile boutique and experience space. This trailer will allow us to:

✨ Host private shopping events for girls, creating moments of joy and empowerment.
✨ Expand our reach to underserved communities, offering hope and support wherever it’s needed most.

What Your Donation Will Support:
💖 Purchasing a single-axle trailer.
💖 Restoring and outfitting the trailer with secure racks, shelves, and two changing rooms.
💖 Gas, maintenance, and operational costs to bring the boutique to different communities.

  • All donations go directly toward supporting My Big Sis' Closet programs and initiatives. This includes purchasing and restoring a mobile trailer, curating clothing and self-care products, and covering operational costs to bring our boutique experiences to girls in need, such as those impacted by the LA fires.

  • Once we obtain our 501(c)(3) status, all donations will be tax-deductible. We will provide updates on this process and ensure that receipts are issued for contributions when applicable.

  • Yes! We accept donations of new or gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as unused makeup, skincare, and haircare products. We also welcome contributions from influencers or brands with surplus PR products. Visit our Donation Drop-Off section for more details.
